About two years ago I took my first Photo 1 class and found a passion for photography. I love the work involved. I love the research. I love the technical side as much as the aesthetic side. I love the discovery. I love the way it has helped me to look at my surroundings with searching eyes and a desire to understand. This curiosity drives me to do the work I do. Photojournalism interests me most, but ultimately I would like to make positive changes in the world with my photography be it in a journalistic form, abstract art, short films, or in the relationships I form a long the way. The work you see on this website is a small collection from my portfolio that I've been creating over the last two years. They include a photographic essay of the Carson & Barnes Circus as well as a series of fine art color photographs depicting my hometown as a fake scale model. A larger collection of my photos can be found on Flickr.com or by clicking here. I currently work as a staff photographer for the FlorAla Student Newspaper at the University of North Alabama. I am also available for freelance work. Please contact me for pricing and scheduling. |
